Spoon TV is moving to TikTok for a Community Takeover! Submit your content to HQ to be published on the Spoon University TikTok.
Submission and review process
You’ll create your content and submit your completed TikTok (up to 3 minutes long) to HQ using this form.
Spoon HQ will review your content and let you know if we decide to post the content on the @spoonuniversity TikTok via email.
If your content doesn’t make it to the @spoonuniversity page, we still encourage you to post to your Chapter’s TikTok account!
Please review guidelines and tips for producing your ideas before submitting.
What we’re looking for!
Whether it’s a one-off submission, like a restaurant roundup of your fav coffee shops in your city, or a longer series where you try all your family recipes, we want you to use this space to be as creative as you want, try new things, share your stories and grow your audience.
Even if your submission doesn’t make it to the national page, we still encourage you to post to your Chapter’s TikTok account. It’s the perfect platform to add to your Chapter’s social media portfolio!

TikTok Filming Best Practices
Be sure to introduce yourself and who you are, like your name, your Chapter and what the video is about. Give some background information.
Wear non-branded clothing when filming.
Lighting
If indoors, utilize natural light as much as possible. Try filming near a window.
Ring lights are helpful for indoor filming as well!
For something you’d normally take as a photo, create a short video clip instead, like a gooey cheese pull from a sandwich.
Technical Notes
You can use whatever device you prefer:
If using a phone - film your videos vertically, or in portrait mode.
If using a camera, keep in mind the aspect ratio used on TikTok (9:16).
Please do not add closed captions or music/additional sounds to your video! Spoon HQ will add these before publishing to ensure accuracy and meet copyright requirements.
Submit your content as an .MP4 file
